Welcome to Bhraimoman Theatre – the mobile theatres of Assam. This movement is the most popular mass media in Assam. Every year, almost 10 million people experience the magic of this theatre. 

More than 40 professional theatre companies move from one village to another with their entire infrastructure – artists, technicians, stage, lights, and orchestra and the huge tent and seats that house 2000 people at one time. 

It has a huge ‘double-stage’ that spans across 3600 sq ft which can be dismantled and reassembled at a short notice. Each theatre group is a self-contained studio unto itself and it employs over 150 people. 
In every group, the crew spends nine months together – they become mobile families. Almost 40% of the income generated is set aside for the development of schools and other social causes. In the 9 month season, these companies perform more than 8000 shows in about 50 locations in Assam.
