What will you gain out of the fellowship?

SKILL DEVELOPMENT
You will receive guidance in how to become (think of another word) an effective arts and festival manager. This foundation programme includes coaching in producing, stage management, community outreach & engagement, curation & programming, communication & design, fundraising & budget management.

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
You will get an opportunity to put the training and mentorship into practice as you plan, organise and accomplish various Thespo events through the course of the year. These events include community engagement, training for aspiring artists, live performances and festival management.

CREATIVE INSIGHTS
You will be connected with industry professionals within the organisation as well as from the larger theatre community in order to gain insights into various arts practices, explore ways to collaborate, cultivate strategic thinking for the arts and access to unique artistic perspectives.

NETWORK
Exclusive access to a vast network of alumni, mentors, peers and a community of young aspiring theatrewallahs from across the country.
Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible to apply for the fellowship if:

you are born on or after 1 January 1999
-
you are keen to shape the theatre scene in India
-
you have the ability to work with initiative - individually and as part of a team
-
you have a basic organisational skills and an eye for detail
-
you are positive, enthusiastic and have a flexible approach to work

you are well versed with basic skills in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint
Fellowship journey

Your full time, 12 month fellowship begins in Mumbai

For the first month, you will learn about the Thespo’s evolution, bond with your teammates, and receive dedicated training on a weekly basis. During this period you will also be given your specialisations and departments within that, and you are expected to start research and preliminary planning

The next few months are a combination of prepping for the festival as well as engaging and activating the youth theatre community across the country

Based on the targets and plans set out in the first month, you will have to achieve them within the stipulated period

Collaborate with partners from across the world to create opportunities of learning for theatre enthusiasts

Plan and produce a week long youth theatre festival in December

Work together to deliver a successful project that is well designed and responds to the needs of young people during the last term of your fellowship
